Ash Wednesday: Masses and distribution of Ashes: 7.30 and 10.00 am; 7.30 pm.

Daily Mass during Lent, Monday – Saturday 10.00 am

Regular times for Masses:

For a long time now (in fact all during Canon Hill’s time at St. Matthew’s), we have continued to offer the same number of Masses as there were when 2 or more active priests were attached to the parish. Now there is only one.

Canon Law decrees that no priest should celebrate more than 2 Masses on a given day, with the exception of All Souls’ day and Christmas day, when 3 Masses may be celebrated by any priest.

During Lockdown and beyond, we adjusted numbers of Masses

Sunday Masses:
Saturday Vigil: 5.30 pm (soon to be reinstated)
Sunday: 9.30 am, 11.00 am (with children’s liturgy during school term when this can be restarted).

Weekday Masses:
Monday to Saturday: 10.00 am

 Holyday of Obligation Masses:
Vigil Mass: 7.30pm; 7.30 am, 10.00 am

Saturdays, for the present, Confessions are available when requested but must be heard in a space where 2m social distancing can be observed.

Sundays at 12 noon, and by arrangement with Canon Hill

By arrangement with one of the priests. Normally, at least six months’ notice is required.
Couples will be expected to attend one of the Archdiocese of Glasgow Marriage Preparation Courses.
This will be arranged through the parish clergy parish.
